Services Overview
You must be 18 years old or older to receive any Tattooing or piercing.
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, especially if you are... intoxicated, high on drugs, or just plain rude.
Tattooing:
A $50.00 deposit is required for custom designs and to hold your appointment.
There is a $60.00 minimum for small tattoos.
The rate for custom tattoo and cover ups is based on a hourly rate and will be handled by one of our top professional artists..
Piercing:
We have a large selection of jewelry for all your piercing needs.
Rates for piercings vary, please refer to the chart below for pricing.
Payment:

We at Body and Soul Tattoo believe that a tattoo should be a reflection of an individual’s personal style, a remembrance of a special person or occasion, dedication to that special someone or to celebrate a personal accomplishment. We invite you to experience the artistry of our staff as they transpose your deepest desires into a work of art. Our artists believe that your body is a living canvas which displays an artistic interpretation of your deepest emotions and desires, your loves or your personal achievements in life. To accomplish this, the artist must develop a personal bond with the individual to have an understating of your vision for body art. This bond will develop an image in the minds of or the artist, which he will use as a visual model to create body art which you will enjoy for years to come.
Body and Soul Tattoo encourage our clients to bring in their own drawings and ideas for our artists to work from to create the final rendering on paper prior to completing the tattoo. Consultations are available with all our artists, to further discuss plans and details and also to give advice on placement, size, style and colors.
Choose what you like! You have to live with your tattoo for the rest of your life. Discuss size & color with your artist to achieve the look you want. Sometimes it is better to leave artistic aspects of your tattoo up to the wisdom and experience of your chosen artist.
Give the location of your tattoo considerable thought. It is there forever. If your concerns are for the sensation and level of discomfort involved, your artist should be happy to discuss these aspects with you.
This subject is probably the most personal of all aspects of receiving a tattoo. If you're considering a tattoo, find the artist that fulfills your needs art-wise as well as in professionalism, price and last but not least, personality. All should make you feel comfortable.
Absolutely don't shop around for "the best price". This is a trade in which you should see examples of the artist's work and question their knowledge. This is not a trade to be bartered with; you pay an hourly rate for time & expertise! |
With the advent of many communicable diseases, some fatal, it has become necessary to institute certain isolation and sterilization procedures in the tattoo process to assure the public of a safe, risk-free tattoo. The following advice has been prepared by professional tattooists working with local, state and national health authorities. |
Piercing Services
All piercing prices do not include the price of jewelry. We offer surgical steel, 14kt hypoallergenic yellow gold, white gold and hypoallergenic platinum. You have the option of inserting semi precious and precious bezel set stones including rubies, emeralds, sapphires, tanzanite and diamonds for your new piercing.

Stretching: There is no charge for stretching with the purchase of the jewelry. What Piercing are not offered and the reasons why: Surface Piercing: surface piercing has a migration rate in excess of 85%. This means that the jewelry will be pushed out of your body within a 2 week to a 6 month period leaving only a scar. This piercing is illegal everywhere there are body piercing regulations including the State of New Jersey.
Dermal Anchors: The dermal anchor has become very popular with many individuals and is offered by the vast majority of body piercing facilities in this area. The process of performing a dermal anchor is not body piercing, it is a surgical procedure, preformed by individuals who are not licensed to perform medical procedures. BY definition, a surgical procedure involves making an incision in the skin to have access to the internal cavity of the body. To perform a dermal anchor an incision is made to insert the implant (dermal anchor). With the incision made the dermas (skin) is lifted and the dermal anchor is inserted under all the layers of skin. The bodies dermas is 2mm think, yet the dermal anchor shaft exceeds 4 mm or twice the thickness of the dermal layer. The foreign material (the Dermal Anchor) is not accessible for cleaning and yet is still exposed to airborne pathogens and other types of pathogens until the skin has healed around the shaft of the dermal anchor. Once a piercer has inserted a dermal anchor and the skin has healed around the dermal anchor shaft, an additional surgical procedure must be preformed to remove the dermal anchor from the body. Dermal anchors are unsafe and have the ability to cause severe medical problems, because the anchor is in the internal cavity of the body. Infections are directly accessible to the blood stream and infections can travel to other parts of the body, very rapidly. These are the reasons Body and Soul will not perform dermal anchors and we refuse to jeopardize the health and safety of our clients.
Standard Piercings: Many of the piercings preformed by many piercers are deemed unsafe by Body and Soul and therefore we will not offer those piercings, regardless of the piercings popularity. Piercing such as the webbing, smiley and other styles of piercing have been deemed unsafe by the malpractice insurance carriers for the body piercing industry. If a Piercing shop is performing these style piercings they ether do not have malpractice insurance or their insurance carrier was not informed that these piercing are being preformed. Protect your health and safety; true professionals in the body piercing industry do not perform piercing that jeopardizes the health and safety of their clients.
